God's Plan of Salvation
Friend, may I ask you a few important questions? If you were to die today, are you 100% sure that you would go to heaven? If not, the Bible tells you how you CAN know! Did you know that heaven is NOT actually the default destination of our souls, but that the only way into heaven is through God's plan of salvation? None of us are promised tomorrow... one day our bodies will die, but our SOULS don't have to experience the second death because we ARE promised the opportunity of being saved from that and given an eternal life in heaven! The best part about that offer? It's completely free! The only requirement is that we admit that He is the only one who can save us from the penalty of our sin and then accept His gift of salvation by faith!
Here's what the Bible says about God's plan...
First: Realize That You Need To Be Saved from the Penalty of Your Sin (which is Hell).
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”; Romans 3:23
"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:18
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Revalation 20:14
Second: You Cannot Save Yourself by Being Good.
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us”. Titus 3:5
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
Third: Jesus Died in Your Place to Pay the Penalty for Your Sins!
“Who [Jesus] his own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree [the cross], that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed”. I Peter 2:24
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. John 3:16
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Fourth: You Must Repent of Your Sin and Believe on Jesus for Your Salvation.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved”. Acts 16:31
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”. John 1:12
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”. Romans 10:9
"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out" Acts 3:19
Fifth: NOW Is The Time To Pray and Accept Jesus As Your Saviour!
“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation”. II Corinthians 6:2
“As the Holy Ghost saith, Today if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts”. Hebrews 3:7-8
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." Mark 1:15
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
My friend, if you understand and want to receive Christ as your Saviour, trusting in His promise to save your soul from the punishment of hell and give you an eternal home in heaven--not because of any good thing that you did, but because HE died in YOUR place to pay the penalty for YOUR sins... then simply "call upon the name of the Lord," as Romans 10:13 said, through prayer. Prayer is not reciting someone else's words, but simply talking to God. So you do not have to say these exact words because it is not the words that save you, but whether or not you believe them in your heart. Simply pray something like this... “Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner and do not deserve to go to heaven, but I believe that your Son Jesus died on the cross to pay for my sins and save my soul from the punishment I deserve. I want to personally accept that gift and receive Him as MY Lord and Saviour. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and saving my soul! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen."
If you sincerely believe this and just prayed that prayer, then you are saved! Saved from an eternity in hell and promised an eternity in heaven! And the Bible says that all the angels in heaven are rejoicing right now over your decision! You may not "feel" any different right now, but not only can you trust God's promise to take you to heaven, but he also promised that when you accepted his gift of salvation you also accepted into HIM into your heart, and his Holy Spirit will be with you always to comfort, guide, and give you the strength to resist temptation as you grow and learn to listen to him teach you through the Bible!
If you have not yet accepted his offer of salvation...then we pray that you will read these verses again and ask God to help you understand the truth about His gift. God doesn't want us to wonder or worry about death and eternity. That's why He gave us the Bible! 1 John 5:13 tells us "these things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life." You CAN know for sure that you will go to heaven when you die! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call us and we would love to talk to you more about this--the most important decision you will ever make in your life here on earth!
